A selection from 'Before the Deluge': Photographs of Cardiff's Docklands Communities in the Seventies (Seren 2002)
The images follow a path from 'The Hayes' in the city centre down Bute Street to the Pier Head and Cardiff Docks. With a few exceptions the photographs were taken between 1974 - 1976 since when there have been sweeping changes. Most of these scenes are now part of Cardiff's past but were, not so long ago, a crucial part of the city's appearance and character.
